QUETTA: The Balochistan government has decided to construct a separate jail for the young inmates.
According to the Jail Department, a separate jail will be constructed for the young inmates.
The construction work of the jail will be in process soon with the expenditure of 750 million rupees.
The Jail Department officials have further said that a temporary jail will be launched for the young inmates on the Sariab Road.
According to the officials of the Jaild Department, a center for the school and skills-learning will also be launched in the model jail.
The aim for constructing a separate jail for the young inmate is to prevent such inmates from the brutal torture, drugs addiction and other unfavorable occurrences.
The idea aims to treat such prisoner in a different way than the prisoners involved in some violent crimes and the wanted prisoners.
The act also aims to make young inmate better people and productive citizens. Once such people will be captures, a fair, transparent and credible investigation will be carried out against them assuring their families that the justice will be served.
Such moves may raise the chances of the people becoming better and groomed human beings once they are released from the jails.
Unfortunately, the people of very young age in the provinces like Balochistan are often allegedly involved in crimes like drugs and weapons supply, robbery, theft, extortion and even trained to carry out militancy by their foreign handlers.
However, they are brutally tortured and even killed in the jailed before any thorough investigation is carried out.
This raises the questions on the law and justice systems in such areas and may lead to make people go against the state and the law-enforcement agencies.
Launching such jails may raise a feeling of transparency, justice and positivity in provinces like balochistan.
