QUETTA: The Balochistan government has announced sentence reduction of 60 days in the wake of 78th Independence Day of Pakistan.
According to a report, the Balochistan government has issued a notification which says that a sentence reduction of 60 days has been announced by the Balochistan government amid the Independence Day of Pakistan.
The CM Balochistan has granted the relief for the sentenced prisoners of court-detention centers and all the jails of the province.
However, the initiative of the government will only be applicable for those who have committed crimes of ordinary level.
The criminals of terrorism, murder, rape, robbery, and other serious crime will not be granted the concession in sentences.
Those who have already been granted the reduction in sentences will also not be able to get the relief again.
According to the notification, the decision aims to make the prisoners and their families the part of the joys of independence.

The notification says that the government aims at facilitating the rehabilitation of the prisoners to make them useful citizens for the society.
