Security sources debunk BLA’s false claim of Sibi attack

BLA Propaganda Unit Spreads Fake News of Sibi Headquarters Assault

SIBI: Local and security officials in Balochistan have categorically denied a false propaganda claim circulated by the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and its affiliated faction, Firna-ul-Hindustan, regarding a fictitious attack on a military headquarters in Sibi district.

The militant group’s propaganda cell had earlier issued an unverified statement alleging an assault on Sibi’s army installations. However, upon verification by credible journalistic sources, including Buraq Baloch’s team, local security authorities confirmed that the situation in Sibi remains entirely normal, with no incident of unrest or terrorism taking place.

“Security sources told Buraq Baloch that the situation in Sibi is normal, no incident of unrest or terrorism has taken place,” a report based on the investigation stated.

According to officials, this fabricated claim is a deliberate misinformation tactic employed by the banned outfits. Security sources informed that the propaganda cell has resorted to these false assertions in an attempt to mask its recent significant operational defeats on the ground. Facing losses, the group is seemingly attempting to manufacture a narrative of resilience and activity through digital falsehoods.

Authorities have urged citizens to exercise vigilance and not pay heed to such unfounded rumors spread through unofficial channels. They emphasized that spreading false news is a criminal act that aims to create unnecessary fear and uncertainty among the peaceful populace. The security apparatus remains alert, and normalcy prevails in the Sibi district. This incident underscores the ongoing information warfare where militant groups, weakened in physical confrontations, increasingly turn to psychological and propaganda tactics to sustain relevance.
