Security plan finalized for Muharram pocessions in Quetta

QUETTA: An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Captain (R) Meharullah Badini, to review preparations for Muharram.

The meeting was attended by SSP Operations, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Assistant Commissioners of Sadar and Saryab, representatives of the Shia Conference, and local Tehsildars.

The session focused on ensuring law and order during Muharram and discussed security arrangements in detail.

A comprehensive security plan was finalized for all religious gatherings and processions scheduled between the 6th and 10th of Muharram, including their routes, numbers, and locations.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments and agencies to ensure foolproof security to prevent any untoward incident.

He emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts between police, administration, and other relevant bodies to ensure public safety. Representatives of the Shia Conference also shared their concerns and suggestions, which were acknowledged with a commitment to appropriate action.

In conclusion, the Deputy Commissioner instructed authorities to implement the security plan efficiently and to strengthen coordination among all relevant institutions throughout the Muharram period.
