Security forces kill 13 suicide bombers in Bannu

BANNU: Security forces killed more than 25 terrorists, including 13 suicide bombers, during an intelligence-based operation in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, officials said on Monday.

According to security sources, several of the dead militants were Afghan nationals.

Sources said that security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation Narmi Khel area of Bannu. officials said on Monday.

The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), known as Fitna al Khawarij had converted two government schools in the area into training centres for suicide bombers.

The operation was launched after credible intelligence indicated the presence of a large Khawarij terrorists preparing for attacks on key government and security forces installations. The terrorists, majority of whom were Afghan nationals, were tashkiled from Afghanistan.

No casualties of security personnel were reported.

Earlier today at the morning, three suicide bombers attempted to enter into the FC Headquarters in Peshawar. However, all three militants have been eliminated on the entrance of the FC Headquarters.

He said that the militants attempted a forced entry in the FC Headquarters, however, they were eliminated on the gate of the FC Headquarters.

The Deputy Commandant FC Javed Iqbal has said that three FC personnel embraced martyrdom in the militant attack. Five civilians have sustained injured.

The injured FC Personnel and the civilians have been shifted to the hospital. The IG KP Zulfiqar Hameed said that two suicide attacks targeted the headquarters of the Federal Constabulary (FC), says IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
