RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that a convoy of security forces was attacked by militants in North Waziristan, resulting in the martyrdom of two soldiers, Sepoy Fahad Ali and Lance Naik Sabir Afridi.
Two militants were also killed in the ensuing gunfight.
In a separate encounter in Laki Marwat, five Indian-sponsored militants were eliminated. Additionally, security forces killed two terrorists in Bannu.
Earlier, on May 17–18, 2025, three terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Awaran district.
