Security Forces Kill 13 Khawarij in KP Operations: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa killed 13 militants associated with Fitna al Khawarij in two operations, a military statement said on Wednesday.

The operations were based on intelligence reports aimed at thwarting major terrorist plots.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a media affairs wing of the Pakistan Army, the first operation took place in Bannu district, where forces killed three militants.

A second operation was conducted in Bara, Khyber district. Intelligence indicated the presence of militants, and security forces killed 10 during the raid.

ISPR said the militants had been planning destructive attacks in the area. Their hideouts were completely destroyed, and weapons and other equipment were recovered.

Security sources said search operations are ongoing due to fears of additional militants in the region. Forces remain determined to eliminate anti-state elements.

Local residents praised the security forces for their timely and successful operations. They said the measures would improve law and order and reduce the threat of terrorism.

Officials said the campaign against militants will continue without interruption. They vowed to ensure the complete elimination of terrorism in the country.
