In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the militants belonged to Fitna al Khawarij. The operations were conducted on the basis of verified intelligence in North Waziristan and Kurram district.

ISPR said security forces launched swift actions after receiving information about militant presence in the areas. Troops engaged the militants in intense gunfights and eliminated all 11 due to effective and professional tactics. No casualties were reported among security personnel.
