Security forces eliminate terrorist in North Waziristan operation

NORTH WAZIRISTAN: The security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Haider Khel, eliminating a terrorist and injuring two of his accomplices. In this regard, the operation was launched following credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the area. 

During the engagement, the forces neutralized a key terrorist identified as Zia alias Mukhlis, who was reportedly involved in multiple acts of violence against both civilians and security personnel. 

In addition, Zia alias Mukhlis had been on the radar of law enforcement agencies due to his active involvement in terrorist activities aimed at destabilizing the region. The successful operation indicates the ongoing commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to maintain peace and stability in the country, particularly in regions vulnerable to militant activities.

Moreover, the local residents expressed a sense of relief after the operation, acknowledging the efforts of security forces in ensuring their safety.

The government has repeatedly reasserted that counterterrorism remains a top national priority, mentioning that such operations are essential to safeguarding the progress achieved in recent years.
