LORALAI: Pakistani security forces inflicted a major blow to terrorist networks in Balochistan, killing 35 militants of the banned outfit Fitna al-Khawarij and injuring 10 others during an intelligence-based operation in the Loralai district, official sources confirmed on Saturday.
According to the se, the operation was conducted in response to recent intelligence regarding the presence of a significant Khwarij hideout in the area. Security forces effectively engaged the terrorist location, leading to an intense exchange of fire.
The military’s media wing stated that the operation successfully neutralized 35 terrorists, while 10 others were injured. A large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered from the destroyed compound.
The sanitization process is currently underway to eliminate any remaining militants in the area. The security forces remain committed to eradicating the menace of terrorism from the country, with the Loralai operation being hailed as a significant success in ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.
No collateral damage or casualties to security forces personnel have been reported in the official statement. The area has been cordoned off as a search operation continues to ensure the complete clearance of the vicinity.
