KHUZDAR: The security forces carried out a large-scale operation in Zehri Tehsil of Khuzdar, which resulted in the elimination of eight terrorists of Fitna Al Hindustan.
The operation, launched as part of ongoing counter-terrorism measures, also led to the destruction of three hideouts used by the militants. The operation was initiated through credible intelligence reports about the presence of armed militants in the mountainous terrain of Zehri.
The group, which is supported by hostile external elements, had been involved in subversive activities aimed at destabilizing the region.
Furthermore, the security forces surrounded the suspected locations and engaged the militants in a fierce exchange of fire.
In addition, eight militants were killed in the encounter, while several others reportedly fled the area. The forces also seized weapons, ammunition, and communication devices from the destroyed hideouts.
Moreover, the clearance phase of the operation continues, with security forces combing the rugged 23-kilometer stretch to ensure that no traces of militant presence remain.
In addition, the locals expressed cautious relief at the news of the operation, noting that militant activity in the area had disrupted normal life for years.
Meanwhile, the government officials reassured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to protect civilians and consolidate peace in Khuzdar and surrounding areas.
