KALAT: The security forces conducted a successful joint operation in the Zawa and Hassan Lalu areas of District Kalat on Friday, returning safely to the 329 Brigade headquarters in Kalat Camp after completing all assigned tasks.
The operation began at approximately 1715 hours under the leadership of Brigadier Nasir Aziz Khattak, Commander of 329 Brigade. The mission was carried out in coordination with multiple units, including 1 Commando Counter-Terrorism Team under the command of Lt. Col. Tassawar of SSG, 4 FF Counter-Terrorism under the command of Lt. Col. Ihsan Zeb, and 156 Wing Counter-Terrorism.
The security forces executed a comprehensive search and clearance activity across Zawa and Hassan Lalu. The operation aimed to disrupt hostile elements, secure the region, and prevent potential threats to public safety.
Furthermore, recovered weapons included four sub-machine guns, one M4 rifle, and one pistol. Security forces also seized a hand grenade, 13 M4 magazines, and five SMG magazines. Additionally, four motorcycles believed to have been used by the suspects were taken into possession.
In this regard, communication devices were also retrieved from the area, comprising five Android phones, ten digital mobile phones, and one binocular device.
All recovered items were transported to the 329 Brigade Headquarters in Kalat for documentation and further examination.
Meanwhile, the government officials praised the coordinated efforts of all participating units, noting that the successful completion of the mission reflects the professionalism and dedication of the security forces engaged in counter-terrorism operations in the region.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to increase stability and ensure the safety of local communities in District Kalat. Further investigations are underway based on the evidence recovered during the mission.
