Pakistan and China look postive for the second phase of CPEC

He further said that we are focused on the industrial cooperation, agriculture, IT and social development in the second phase.

ISLAMABAD:  Minister for planning Professor Ahsan Iqbal met the Chinese ambassador Jiang Xai Dong in Islamabad.

The high-level delegation from both the countries including minister for marine affairs Junaid Chaudhary were also the part of the meeting.

The federal minister Professor Ahsan Iqbal said that the first phase of the CPEC has met a successful conclusion.

He further said that we are focused on the industrial cooperation, agriculture, IT and social development in the second phase.

He affirmed that both the countries prioritize the development and the construction of the economic zones of Gwadar.

The Chinese ambassador said that the cooperation between both the countries will grow further in the upcoming years. Joining CPEC with the central Asia will ensure the economical stability in the region.

Iqbal said that some significant decisions are expected in the upcoming JCC. He stressed that the government has taken necessary measures to strengthen the security of the CPEC.

He went on to say that there is an enormous scop for the minerals in Gwadar and the surrounding.

All those minerals can be extravagantly utilized by using the latest infrastructure.

It is worth mentioning that both the countries and successfully undergone the first phase of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
