RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Ghoraibi, met with Pakistan’s Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Upon arrival, Vice Admiral Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Ghoraibi was warmly received by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Navy, which presented him with a ceremonial guard of honour.
During the high-level meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional maritime security, and avenues to further strengthen bilateral naval cooperation. Admiral Ashraf briefed the visiting dignitary on Pakistan Navy’s initiatives to promote peace and stability in the region through Regional Maritime Security Patrols (RMSP).
Vice Admiral Al-Ghuraibi appreciated the Pakistan Navy’s consistent efforts in maintaining maritime security in the region and acknowledged the positive role it plays in ensuring stability in the Indian Ocean and beyond.
He also commended the professional training being imparted to Saudi cadets at the Pakistan Naval Academy, highlighting the high standards of instruction and discipline.
Both navies reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen bilateral defence ties, with a focus on enhanced maritime collaboration and joint training.

The visit of the Saudi naval chief is expected to further solidify the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, particularly in the realm of military-to-military cooperation.
