RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that holders of all types of visas can now perform Umrah during their stay in the Kingdom — a major facilitative step in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
In an official statement, the Ministry confirmed that the initiative applies to a wide range of visa categories, including personal, family visit, electronic tourist, transit, stopover, and work visas. Holders of these visas can now travel to Makkah and perform Umrah with ease.
The Ministry said the decision reflects the Kingdom’s continued commitment to welcoming Muslims from around the world and providing them with a comfortable, peaceful environment to perform their religious duties.
“This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to simplify procedures for the guests of Allah and expand access to the services provided within the Hajj and Umrah system,” the statement added.
As part of this digital transformation, the Ministry has launched the “Nusuk Umrah” platform — a unified online portal where pilgrims can select packages, book services, and obtain Umrah permits electronically in a fully integrated experience.

“These facilitative measures demonstrate the dedication of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to ensure that Muslims can visit the Two Holy Mosques and perform their rituals in a spiritual, safe, and enriching environment,” the Ministry stated.
