Balochistan CM pays tribute to police martyrs

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti visited the Central Police Office and paid homage at the police Martyrs’ Memorial, offering special prayers for the fallen heroes.

Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister commended the sacrifices of police personnel in the fight against terrorism and stated that the federal government has pledged ten billion rupees to enhance the police force’s operational capacity.

He highlighted the bravery of police officers confronting terrorists and announced that special training courses would be organized to strengthen their skills.

All future recruitments, he assured, would be made purely on merit.

The Chief Minister also revealed plans to establish a special force with additional incentives and emphasized that it is the state’s duty to care for the families of martyrs.

The government, he added, will bear the educational expenses of the martyrs’ children.

Bugti further stated that drones will be acquired to target terrorist hideouts and announced a major operation in Quetta against narcotics, pledging to protect children from the destructive impact of drugs.

He reiterated that no political interference or pressure would be tolerated in police affairs.

The Chief Minister also shared plans to introduce IT training for police personnel and implement a system of accountability and transparency within the department.

Highlighting the importance of stability, he remarked that peace is essential for prosperity in Balochistan.

Bugti disclosed that over five hundred terrorists have been eliminated in recent operations and acknowledged the significant sacrifices made by the Levies Force in the ongoing fight against terrorism.

It is worth mentioning that the police along with the other armed forces of of Pakistan have been launching massive operations against the Indian-backed militants across Balochistan.

Hundreds of policemen have lost their lives in the attacks carried out by the RAW-backed militant- groups like BLA, BLF, BRA and others.

However, the Balochistan Police is a firm resolve to toot out the militancy from Balochistan.
