DERA MURAD JAMALI: Senior Provincial Minister for Irrigation Mir Muhammad Sadiq Imrani has announced a series of major development initiatives for Dera Murad Jamali, asserting that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government is actively fulfilling its election promises to the region.
Addressing a party gathering, Imrani inaugurated a Rs 2.5 billion master plan for the city and revealed that work on a monumental Rs 65 billion Pit Feeder Canal project has commenced. He described the canal as a project that will “bring a new revolution,” reviving Naseerabad Division’s historical status as an agricultural “Green Belt” and sparking an agricultural transformation.
The minister highlighted tangible progress on a persistent local issue, stating that the government is resolving long-standing land allotment problems and providing ownership rights to residents, thereby converting “occupying people” into legitimate property owners.
In what he framed as a commitment to the legacy of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Imrani reported that over 200 people have been provided employment in recent months. He pledged that the PPP government would utilize all resources to eradicate backwardness and deprivation in Balochistan, aiming to bring the province on par with other regions of Pakistan.
The event, organized by Advocate Muhammad Ilyas Khosa, was also addressed by PPP Nasirabad Division President Mir Bilal Khan Imrani and other senior leaders, drawing a large number of party workers.
