RSS turns its back on Modi, BJP suffers from internal chaos & rebellion

Report Claims RSS Distances Itself from Modi as BJP Faces Internal Strife

A new report from the Indian news portal The Wire claims the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, is facing significant political challenges. The report suggests the government’s grip on power is weakening due to internal party issues, economic troubles, and growing public dissatisfaction.

The BJP is reportedly facing rebellion within its own ranks and has suffered defeats in recent state elections. The RSS, the party’s ideological parent, is also said to be displeased with the current situation. The report accuses the central government of using institutions like the Income Tax Department, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as weapons against political opponents to topple state governments.

A recent change in the procedure for appointing election commissioners, which removed the Chief Justice of India from the process, has raised questions about the autonomy of the Election Commission and shaken public confidence.

High inflation, unemployment, and social division are fueling public anger. The report also cites failures on the diplomatic front, claiming India’s international image has weakened.

The report presents Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Yatra” as a successful effort to create public enthusiasm. Furthermore, the BJP’s defeat in over 60 seats in the recent 2024 Lok Sabha elections is seen as a sign of declining popularity for the Modi government.

The upcoming by-elections in Bihar are being seen as a critical test for the BJP, with potential major implications for the party’s future.
