Rind denies rumors of petrol shortage in Quetta

QUETTA: Shahid Rind, Spokesperson of Balochistan government has rejected the rumors of petrol shortage in provincial capital.

Shahid Rind has said that there is no petrol crisis in Quetta, such rumors are being spread by smugglers associated with the Iranian petrol business.

He added that Iranian petrol pumps are the cause of serious security threats and accidents, adding that 28 accidents were occurred in a month on such Iranian petrol pumps, the public suffered losses worth crores of rupees, such accidents occurred at various places including Airport Road and Hazar Ganji, strict action is being taken against Iranian petrol and smuggling.

Rind further said that by creating the impression of a petrol crisis, smugglers are demanding the release of Iranian petrol. He added that petrol pumps are being made to ensure the availability of legal petrol, and the supply of legal petrol is being ensured by checking the storage of petrol pumps.

The spokesperson said that complaints regarding the non-availability of legal petrol can be made to the Deputy Commissioner Office Quetta, if any petrol pump tries to evade providing petrol, action will be taken.
