Revolution in Healthcare services in Awaran through joint efforts

QUETTA: A significant transformation in healthcare has taken place in Balochistan’s Awaran district through the joint efforts of the Balochistan Government and the Pakistan Army, with the launch of the Joint Hospital Awaran.

This facility is now providing modern healthcare services, qualified doctors, and advanced medical equipment to the local population.

Previously, residents of Awaran were forced to travel to Karachi for quality medical treatment.

owever, with the establishment of this hospital, state-of-the-art facilities are now available at the local level.

The hospital is equipped with a modern laboratory, specialized doctors and surgeons, a water filtration plant, waste disposal incinerators, and continuous electricity supply through generators and solar systems.

Over 300 patients are treated daily, along with 25 surgeries, 30 X-rays, and 150 laboratory tests.

People from remote areas such as Mashkay, Jhao, and Gishkore are also benefiting from the hospital’s services.

This joint initiative is a major milestone in the healthcare sector and has been widely appreciated by the public.

For over a decade, the Pakistan Army has been actively engaged in improving healthcare across remote regions of Balochistan.

From organizing free medical camps and providing mobile health units to building hospitals and supporting vaccination drives, the Army has played a pivotal role in bridging the healthcare gap in underdeveloped areas.

Their continuous efforts, in collaboration with civil authorities, have brought critical medical support to thousands of families who previously had no access to proper healthcare facilities.
