Resolution submitted in Balochistan Assembly against mobile internet shutdown

QUETTA: Member Provincial Assembly and Deputy Parliamentary Leader, Mir Rehman Saleh Baloch has submitted resolution in the Balochistan Assembly against the ongoing mobile internet shutdown across the province. The resolution was presented by Deputy Parliamentary Leader Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch.

According to the resolution, the government suspended 4G and 5G mobile internet services in Balochistan starting from August 6 and plans to keep them shut until August 31. This decision has caused serious problems for the public.

The resolution highlights that daily life has been badly affected, Business activities have stopped, education has suffered, especially for students attending online classes in universities and colleges, online businesses are facing losses and even law enforcement agencies and traffic police are struggling to carry out their duties.

Mir Rehmat Baloch called the internet shutdown a clear violation of basic human rights, saying it has caused frustration and anxiety among the people.

He requested the Assembly to pause its regular proceedings and hold a debate on this urgent issue. He also demanded the immediate restoration of internet services to ease public suffering.
