Religious leaders denounce honour killings in Balochistan

FIR registered against 22 in honour killing video case

ISLAMABAD: An All-Parties Conference (APC) of religious parties convened in Islamabad under the banner of the Milli Yakjehti Council, where leaders expressed serious concern over national issues and firmly condemned recent acts of violence.

Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi, while addressing the conference, strongly condemned the brutal killing of a man and a woman in Balochistan. He denounced the incident in which 19 men opened fire on a woman, calling it an act of cowardice, not bravery. He demanded that authorities bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the case reaches its logical conclusion.

Allama Wahidi also criticized the rising inflation, stating that it has made life unbearable for ordinary citizens. He urged the government to immediately lower petrol prices and implement effective measures to control inflation and ease the economic burden on the public.

While referring to Operation Baniyan Marsous, he asserted that the operation had delivered a strong message to India and served as a decisive response to the enemy.
