KUNAR: Pakistan carried out a targeted strike at a suspected militant site in Afghanistan’s Kunar region, according to security sources.

Officials said the strike hit a location where a high-level meeting was underway. Participants allegedly included members of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Afghan Taliban elements, and foreign operatives.

Sources claimed an Indian intelligence officer, identified as Shankar Sinha, was killed in the strike. They described him as a key operative linked to militant networks targeting Pakistan.

Officials added that Noor Wali Mehsud, the head of the banned TTP, was seriously injured during the attack.

Authorities said Sinha had operated from Afghanistan for years. He allegedly coordinated links between militant groups and facilitated funding and weapons distribution.

Sources also claimed he maintained contacts with certain elements of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC).

Officials said recent sabotage incidents in major Pakistani cities may be linked to networks associated with him.

There was no immediate confirmation from independent sources. Further details remain under investigation.
