CHITRAL: The residents of Arandu, a border town located along the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier in the Chitral district, organized a large rally to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army.
The event witnessed participation from people belonging to various schools of thought, including community elders, tribal leaders, and local youth.
The rally, held in the afternoon, saw participants carrying Pakistani flags while chanting slogans in support of the country and its security forces. The atmosphere echoed with calls of “Long Live Pakistan,” “Long Live Pakistan Army,” and “Long Live Chitral Scouts,” indicating the strong patriotic sentiment among the attendees.
They stated that residents of Arandu and surrounding regions remain committed to safeguarding stability and would stand united against any form of external aggression or provocation.
The speakers reiterated that any attempt to violate Pakistan’s territorial integrity would be met with a firm and decisive response.
They affirmed that the people of Arandu would stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in defending the homeland. The reference was made to last year’s October clashes along the border, during which tensions escalated and security measures were subsequently strengthened.
The speakers paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army, the Chitral Scouts, and other security institutions. They honored the martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty, describing their sacrifices as a guiding light for the nation and a key factor in maintaining peace and stability in the region.
The rally participants strongly condemned recent incidents of terrorism, stating that hostile elements are attempting to disrupt peace.
However, they expressed confidence that the collective efforts and sacrifices of the public and security forces would not go in vain.
