QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has officially declared the entire revenue limits of Rakhshan, Mekran, and Zhob Divisions as “A-Areas” under the Balochistan Police Act 2011 and the Balochistan Levies Force Act 2010.
This move, approved by the Provincial Cabinet, shifts the territorial jurisdiction of these regions from the traditional Levies Force to the Balochistan Police, aiming to strengthen law enforcement and administrative control.
The notification, issued by the Home Department and vetted by the Law Department, brings these divisions under a more centralized and resource-equipped policing system.
With this decision, it is expected that the people of Rakhshan, Mekran, and Zhob will benefit from better-trained police forces, improved security infrastructure, and faster access to justice through standardized procedures.
