KARACHI: At Karachi’s City Court, lawyers launched a violent attack on YouTuber Rajab Butt.

Rajab Butt sustained severe injuries from the brutal assault by the lawyers, with blood flowing from his jaw and mouth.

He had arrived at the court to obtain interim bail.

However, the reason behind the lawyers’ attack has not yet come to light.

Rajab Butt, born on December 28, 1994, in Lahore, Pakistan, is a prominent Pakistani YouTuber, TikToker, actor, and social media influencer who has amassed a massive following through his engaging content, including comedy skits, family vlogs under the “Rajab’s Family” banner, travel videos, and lifestyle posts.

Starting his YouTube channel in 2015, he quickly rose to fame, now boasting over 8 million subscribers on YouTube and millions more across Instagram and other platforms, making him one of the country’s top digital creators.

He has also ventured into acting, debuting in the Geo TV drama Rani alongside Kinza Hashmi, and modeling.

Despite his popularity, Rajab Butt has frequently courted controversy, facing multiple legal challenges in recent years.

These include cases related to promoting online gambling apps, blasphemy allegations stemming from a perfume launch named “295” (referencing Pakistan’s blasphemy laws) and a video showing prayer with background music, illegal possession of a lion cub as a wedding gift, and cybercrime charges.

In early 2025, he briefly left Pakistan amid safety concerns, later returning after his UK visa was canceled due to undisclosed legal issues, where he secured protective bail in ongoing cases.

Most recently, on December 29, 2025, Rajab Butt was violently attacked by lawyers at Karachi’s City Court while appearing to seek interim bail in a case involving allegations of hurting religious sentiments.

He sustained severe injuries, including bleeding from his jaw and mouth, though the motive for the assault remains unclear.

The incident highlights the ongoing tensions surrounding his public profile and legal battles.
