ISLAMABAD: The spell of rain and snowfall across much of the country is intensifying.
A fresh western weather system has entered Balochistan via Iran, triggering rain and snowfall in various locations.
In Chaman and surrounding areas, heavy downpours have caused low-lying regions to become submerged in water, while light snowfall was recorded in Quetta.
The ongoing snowfall continues in places like Ziarat, Kalat, and other nearby areas.
According to the latest update from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain and snowfall (in hilly/mountainous regions) are likely until Tuesday in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Islamabad, Murree, and the Galyat.
Additionally, intermittent showers are expected in Lahore, Multan, and several other parts of Punjab.
