QUETTA: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds in Awaran, Lasbela, and the surrounding areas of Balochistan in the coming hours.
Meanwhile, the provincial capital Quetta recorded a maximum temperature of 40°C today, according to the Met Office. Other key regions of Balochistan also experienced high temperatures.
In Kalat, the temperature peaked at 33°C, while Sibi saw scorching conditions with the mercury climbing to 41°C. Nokundi recorded the highest temperature in the province at 45°C, followed by Turbat at 38°C.
Coastal areas of Balochistan remained relatively moderate, with Gwadar recording 32°C and Jiwani slightly higher at 33°C.
The Met Office advised residents in the affected areas to stay alert for potential weather disruptions, especially in regions prone to flash floods and wind-related damage.
