Kalat: A heavy rain hits Kalat and surrounding. A televised report says that the district Kalat in Balochistan and its surrounding areas saw heavy showers on Thursday evening.
After an extremely hot and humid weather, a breeze from the north- west entered the area which caused heavy rain in the area.
There was an immense change observed in the temperature but the widespread rainwater raised concerns as the PDMA and all the rescue departments are on the high alert.
NDMA had alarmed about the flood-threats in some 18 districts of Balochistan.
The DCs were asked to take all the precautionary measures in this regard.
Heavy machinery and the necessary equipment were already shifted to areas which were likely to be most affected by the floods.
The provincial government has asked to people living the rainwater streams.
The tourists have been asked not to roam around and to stay at home during the ongoing Monsoon season.

It is worth mentioning that as many as 20 people from Balochistan have lost their lives in the rains-driven accidents.
