Rain forecasted in southern parts of country

ISLAMABAD: The weather department has forecasted rain in the Southern and the central parts of the country.

According to the sources, rains are expected in the Southern parts of the country including Southern Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan areas on 16th and 17th February.

According to the report, there is a possibility of rain in various parts of Balochistan on February 16 and 17. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in several areas, including Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, and Gwadar.

The Meteorological Department states that rain may occur in Sindh cities such as Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur on February 17.

There is also a chance of thundershowers in Waziristan, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan.

As per the report, light rain accompanied by dusty winds is likely in DG Khan, Multan, Bhakkar, and Bahawalpur.

Hail is possible in northern Balochistan, Dera Ismail Khan, and DG Khan.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department further indicated that due to the prevailing weather system, strong and dusty winds may blow in various regions.

Farmers have been advised to take precautionary measures to protect their crops in view of the expected weather conditions.
