More rain forecast for Lahore & Punjab districts

Lahore: More Rain Expected in Lahore and Several Punjab Districts Over the Next 24 Hours

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast continued rainfall in Lahore and various districts of Punjab during the next 24 hours.

According to the PMD spokesperson, intermittent rain with thunder is likely in Lahore, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sargodha, Mianwali, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Khushab, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Jhang, Chiniot, Bhakkar, Layyah, and Dera Ghazi Khan.

The spokesperson reported that on Sunday, spells of rain accompanied by thunder continued in provincial capital Lahore.

The highest rainfall was recorded in Tajpura, Pani Wala Talab, Chowk Na Khuda, Farooqabad, and Nishtar Town.

Rainfall was also recorded in other cities and surrounding areas of Punjab including Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sargodha, Mianwali, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Khushab, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Jhang, Chiniot, Bhakkar, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, and adjacent regions.

In Lahore on Sunday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 13°C and the maximum at 21°C, with humidity at 25%.

The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) in the city stood at 116. Area-wise AQI readings included: Bedian Road 139, ARC Lahore 105, Burki Road 151, Askari-10 84, Allama Iqbal Town 127, DHA Phase 5 105, Cantonment 147, Model Town 112, and CERF Office 127.
