QUETTA: Thunderstorms with gusty winds and rain are expected on Friday in northeastern Balochistan.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department warned of similar weather in parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), Punjab, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Rain, thunder, and dust storms may also hit upper Sindh and northeastern Balochistan during the evening and night.
Forecasters said strong winds and heavy rain could strike isolated areas in Islamabad, the Potohar region, northeastern and central Punjab, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Hailstorms and downpours are likely at a few locations, they added.
Yesterday, a powerful thunderstorm hit Islamabad. Torrential rain cooled the city and ended the recent heatwave.
Strong winds and heavy rain swept through the capital. Thick clouds darkened the sky and made it look like night during the day.
Rawalpindi also saw extreme weather. Dust storms and high-speed winds reduced visibility and disrupted daily life.
Traffic slowed across major roads. Several businesses, hotels, and restaurants shut down temporarily.
