QUETTA: The Railway Police conducted a major operation and arrested a suspect in possession of seven kilogram of hashish at the Quetta railway station.
According to the Railway police, the arrested passenger identified as Amanat Ali, a resident of Vehari district, was checked at the Quetta railway station on suspicion of secretly hiding hashish under ice in a water cooler.
The passenger was arrested on the spot and a case was registered at the Quetta Railway Police Station, further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, the Railway Police Peshawar Division foiled an attempt to smuggle Pakistani fake currency through a train and recovered Pakistani fake currency worth Rs 984,000 from the possession of a railway passenger.

The accused identified as Abdul Wahid resident of Karachi, was personally searched by SHO Cantt Inspector Feroz Khan. The accused was arrested on the spot and a case was registered at the Railway Police Peshawar Cantt Police Station.
