QUEETA: A fleet of 21 new buses is on its way to Quetta and is expected to arrive within 20 days, transport officials have confirmed.
The shipment includes 16 standard green buses and 5 pink buses reserved specifically for women passengers. This initiative aims to provide a modern, reliable, and affordable public transport system for the city, addressing a major public demand.
The pink bus service is designed to offer safe and comfortable travel for female commuters, who have historically faced transportation challenges. The provincial government stated that the entire fleet will become operational soon after arrival to help reduce traffic congestion and improve daily travel for residents.
The launch, originally planned for June, was delayed due to technical and logistical issues. The government has now reaffirmed its commitment to upgrading Quetta’s urban mobility with this project.
