Quetta’s Khrotabad residents appeal for action as gunfire, noise continue nightly

QUETTA: The residents of the densely populated Khrotabad area of provincial capital, urged the district administration and police to take strict action against nightly aerial firing and loud music as it disrupting the peace.

According to details, the residents of Khrotabad area are living in constant fear due to nightly gunfire and loud music. The situation has become unbearable, especially during the hot summer nights when people sleep on rooftops and courtyards due to severe heat and electricity load sheding.

They told local media that the continuous gunfire and loud fireworks throughout the night have made it difficult for them to rest. Despite repeated complaints, the police and local authorities have failed to take action, allowing the lawlessness to continue unchecked.

They have expressed frustration over the administration’s inaction and have urged Deputy Commissioner Quetta and the Commissioner to intervene and restore peace in the area.
