QUETTA: A case has been filed against a Quetta officer for illegally grabbing land of the Metropolitical Corporation.
According to the details, the Anti-Corruption Establishment Balochistan has filed a case against the former security officer of the Metropolitical Corporation, Shabbir Ahmed Alizai for allegedly acquiring land of his own department illegally.
The record suggests that by the abuse of the authority, Shabbir Ahmed Alizai transferred the properties of the Metropolitan corporation Quetta to his own name as well as some other unauthorized persons.
The Officer illegally transferred some highly valuable plots on Jinnah Road and Mikangi Road to his own name.
Similarly, Alizai acquired a plot of the High Court Road thrice to his own name in similar pattern and carried out the corrupt practice.
The allegations were proven true after the inquiry and the Anti-Corruption Balochistan has launched an investigation after filing the case against Mohammad Shabbir Alizai.
A team headed by the Assistant Director Anti-Corruption is carrying out raids to capture the alleged officer in different areas.
The teams are taking some swift actions to ensure the corrupt officer is pushed behind the bar quickly and the justice is served.
It is worth mentioning that the abuse of authority, corruption, irregularities, land grabbing and smuggling still remain among the core issues of Balochistan.
The corrupt practices carried out by the empowered people have been a root cause of the economical deterioration, backwardness and social discontent in Balochistan.
This is the reason why the provincial government and the law enforcement agencies look determined to ensure rule of law, transparency and justice in every department.
The experts say the such moves can strengthen the accountability and rule of law in the province.
They believe that the corrupt practices are the fundamental reason of the social and economical decline of Balochistan. All such figures need to be dealt with iron hand to ensure people’s trust over the state and good governess.
