QUETTA: Employees of the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation staged a protest over the non-payment of their salaries for the past two months.
According to details, the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation workers said they have been left with no option but to take to the streets amid growing financial hardships.
Many workers reported that shopkeepers have stopped giving them credit, food shortages have begun at home, and their children have been forced to leave school due to financial difficulties.
The protesting employees said they have been protesting for the past 14 days, but no government representative has responded or visited them.

They warned that if their salaries are not released soon, they will escalate their protest.
