QUETTA: The Assistant Commissioner of Sariab, Quetta, has issued a seven-day ultimatum for the eviction of Afghan refugees residing in properties within Quetta.

In an official statement, Assistant Commissioner Musawar Ahmed directed all local landlords and property owners to ensure any “illegal Afghan refugees or other illegal residents” are removed from their premises within the week.

The order explicitly states that any Pakistani citizen found to have rented out land, a house, or a shop to such individuals must comply with the directive. The notice warns that failure to evict these tenants will result in “strict legal action” being taken against both the property owner and the tenants themselves.

This legal action will be pursued under the Foreigners Act 1946, which permits penalties including imprisonment, a fine, and the forced eviction of the illegal residents.

Even as Pakistani forces valiantly defend the nation’s sovereignty, the humanitarian commitment to Afghan Refugees in District Chaman remains a top priority.

Official sources confirm that local authorities in Chaman continue to work towards ensuring the well-being of the Afghan Refugees, a testament to Pakistan’s longstanding role as a safe haven for those in need.
