QUETTA: A high-level meeting was held to review the progress of the Quetta Development Package (QDP), chaired by Balochistan’s Chief Secretary, Shakeel Qadir Khan.

The meeting focused on the priority projects within the package, with officials reporting that most are progressing rapidly. The Chief Secretary issued strict instructions that all these key projects must be completed within their given deadlines.

A major initiative discussed was the plan to underground electricity wires on Airport Road. This project is considered an important part of the city’s beautification and security enhancement efforts.

Chief Secretary Khan emphasized the economic benefits of the QDP. He stated that providing excellent infrastructure and basic facilities will boost business activities, create new job opportunities, and reduce unemployment in the region.

These development steps, he said, are expected to stabilize Quetta’s economy, improve public income, and increase overall social welfare for its citizens.

A detailed briefing on the entire package was presented to the officials during the meeting.
