QUETTA: The Quetta Development Authority (QDA) has sealed the building of the renowned Beaconhouse School situated on Samungli Road of provincial capital due to a lease renewal dispute.
QDA Director General Askar Khan told local media that the school had been allotted the land on lease in 1989, which expired in 2019. Despite repeated notices, the school administration delayed the renewal process and the school also began illegal construction of an additional floor on the property.
DG Askar Khan informed that the land, measuring approximately 94,000 square feet, is now due for lease renewal worth several crores of rupees.
QDA took action and sealed the school after the expiry of a stay order issued by the court.
