Putin expresses grief over Islamabad incident

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the Islamabad incident.

According to sources, President Putin has written condolence letters to President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

In the letters, he conveyed his heartfelt regret over the suicide attack in Islamabad, describing the terrorist attack on innocent lives as an inhumane act.

He stated: “Our full sympathies are with the families of the martyrs and the injured.”

He also vowed to enhance cooperation between the two countries for anti-terrorism.

Earlier, ambassadors and high commissioners from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and several other countries had also strongly condemned the Islamabad incident in the harshest terms and expressed complete solidarity with Pakistan.
