QUETTA : Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel emphasized on Tuesday that a combined effort from both the government and private sector is crucial to generate employment opportunities for the province’s youth.
The Governor made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation from the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Youth Wing, led by its Provincial General Secretary, Mir Sajjad Rahisani.
Governor Mandokhel highlighted the critical challenge of integrating young people into building a prosperous society. He issued a stark warning, stating that a lack of positive opportunities leads to disillusionment and social alienation among the youth, which ultimately breaks down social harmony.
He further cautioned that failure to immediately address the growing disappointment and sense of alienation in young people could lead the society toward significant dangers and concerns.
To tackle this issue, the Governor revealed that he has issued special instructions to all public sector universities in Balochistan. He has directed them to focus not only on quality education but also on teaching modern skills and online IT courses to better prepare students for the job market.
He asserted that by ensuring pure merit in government jobs and competitive exams, the talents of capable and hardworking youth can be utilized for the benefit of the country and the province. Governor Mandokhel expressed strong confidence in the intelligence and ability of Balochistan’s youth, stating they only need the necessary facilities and opportunities to play their role in national development.
