QUETTA: A scuffle broke out between two Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) factions at Quetta International Airport on December 22, officials said.
The Salaar Kakar and Dawood Shah groups had gathered to receive former PTI MNA Amjad Ali Khan Niazi, who arrived from Islamabad on flight PK 325.
The dispute erupted over which group would transport the guest in their own vehicles. Verbal arguments quickly escalated into a physical scuffle.
Airport Security Force (ASF) and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) staff intervened. Both groups were removed from the airport premises.
Amjad Ali Khan Niazi was escorted to the state lounge and later left the airport without further incident.
