LAHORE : Karachi Kings secured a commanding 14-run victory over Quetta Gladiators in the second match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 season, played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Quetta Gladiators won the toss and opted to field first—a decision that backfired as Karachi’s batting lineup posted a competitive total of 181 runs in their 20 overs. Captain David Warner provided a solid start with 35 runs, while young Mirza Saad Baig contributed a valuable 30. The innings was propelled by English all-rounder Moeen Ali, who remained unbeaten on 48 off just 29 balls, smashing three towering sixes and four fours in a late-overs onslaught.
For Quetta, Ahmed Daniyal was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, while Alzarri Joseph claimed two.
Chasing 182, Quetta Gladiators struggled against disciplined bowling and sharp fielding. Karachi’s bowlers maintained tight lines and lengths, keeping the scoring rate in check. No Gladiators batter managed a substantial knock, and the team finished at 167 for 7 in their 20 overs, falling 14 runs short of the target.
Under David Warner’s captaincy, Karachi Kings displayed exceptional agility in the field, sealing their first win of the tournament and earning two valuable points on the points table.
