QUETTA: A massive hike in flour prices has been witnessed in Quetta, as the cost of a 20kg bag has increased by Rs. 300.
According to reports, a 20kg bag of flour is now being sold at Rs. 2,300 in the market, leaving customers outraged over the sudden surge. Just a day earlier, the same bag was available for Rs. 2,000.
The unexpected rise of Rs. 300 has stunned residents across the city. Consumers recalled that only two weeks ago, a 20kg flour bag was priced at Rs. 1,600.
The sudden and steep increase has raised serious concerns among the public, with many voicing frustration over the rapid inflation. Citizens said flour is a basic necessity, but they must also manage their limited income to cover other essential needs.
Despite the restoration of Pak-Iran trade, the prices of daily-use commodities continue to remain beyond the reach of the common people.
