Balochistan Press club inaugurated in Hub

ISLAMABAD: The Balochistan Press Club Hub was inaugurated in a dignified ceremony attended by a large number of political, social, religious, and journalistic figures.

The inauguration was performed by Mir Ali Asghar Zehri, personal secretary to Provincial Minister Mir Ali Hassan Zehri, through a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

On the occasion, he stated, “Journalism is the eyes and ears of society, and the Balochistan Press Club Hub will play a vital role in highlighting regional issues.”

He also announced the establishment of a modern library within the press club.

Journalists in Balochistan play a vital role in highlighting the province’s social, political, and economic issues despite working in challenging circumstances.

They are often on the frontlines, reporting from remote areas where communication facilities are limited, and sometimes even facing threats due to sensitive reporting.

Their commitment ensures that the voices of marginalized communities and regional concerns reach national and international platforms.

Press clubs across Balochistan, including those in Quetta, Gwadar, Khuzdar, Turbat, and now Hub, serve as essential institutions for the journalist community.

These press clubs not only provide a platform for media professionals to gather and exchange ideas but also act as hubs for press conferences, debates, and awareness campaigns.
