QUETTA: Pakistan People’s Party leader and Member of the National Assembly, Nawabzada Jamal Khan Raisani has said that May 28 marks the day of Pakistan’s self-respect, and defense sovereignty.
In his message on Youm-e-Takbeer, Raisani said that on this day, the nation showed the world that it is ready to make every sacrifice for its homeland.
He also highlighted that if the nation is united and the leadership is courageous, no power in the world can bring it down. He said the nuclear tests of May 28, 1998, provided Pakistan with an unbreakable defensive shield.
Raisani also paid tribute to former Prime Ministers Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, and the team of scientists who played a vital role in Pakistan’s nuclear program. He said Pakistan is a responsible nuclear power that has maintained strategic balance in the region while prioritizing global peace.

He also praised the people of Balochistan for rejecting anti-army propaganda and demonstrating unwavering support for the country’s defense.
