MUSAKHEL: The early morning earthquake struck the Rarasham tehsil of Musakhel district in Balochistan at approximately 5:45 AM, causing widespread panic, injuries, and vital damage to homes and infrastructure.
In this sense, the tremors were intense and lasted several seconds, prompting residents to flee their homes in fear. The quake left several people injured and led to the complete destruction of multiple houses, while many other structures suffered partial damage.
Furthermore, rescue teams and local administration officials reached the affected areas shortly after the quake.
In such a scenario, residents described scenes of chaos as the earthquake struck just before sunrise. Electricity and communication lines have also been affected in parts of the tehsil, complicating relief efforts. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has been alerted and is coordinating with the district officials to deliver aid, temporary shelters, food supplies, and medical assistance.
