Gwadar: The federal minister for planning and development professor a high-level meeting over water and power issues in Gwadar.
The chief secretary of the Balochistan government Shakil Qadir Khan, Secretary Power Division and Chief Executive QESCO also attended the meeting.
Whereas, DG Gwadar Development Authority, Moinuddin Khan, Chairman Gwadar Port Noor ul Haq Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Gwadar Hamood ur Rehman took part in the meeting through video link.
The shortage of power and the water issues were carefully reviewed.
The federal minister instructed that a foundation of a 170-Megawatt Solar plant should be thought upon so that an unresisted water and power supply could be ensured to for the domestic and the industrial needs.
Moreover, it was decided that two-megawatt electricity will be supplied to Gwadar so that the issues regarding water supply on account of power shortage could be resolved.
It was briefed that the level of water in the Shadi Kor Dam had increased as a result of rains so the Gwadar is being provided with the water supply from there as well.

However, for an unshaken and affective division of water, a consistent and balanced power supply is mandatory. So ultimate arrangements are unavoidable.
