Postgraduate institute to be transformed on digital system

QUETTA – Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar presided over a meeting with the team of the Postgraduate Medical Institute to discuss shifting the institution to a fully modern digital system.

According to the Balochistan news updates , Participants presented various proposals aimed at aligning medical education and training with contemporary standards.

The minister emphasized that digitalization would enhance transparency while improving both academic and administrative operations.

He directed the concerned authorities to expedite the implementation of this project so that students and the institute alike can benefit from its outcomes at the earliest opportunity.

Over the last half decade, Balochistan’s health sector has seen incremental reforms despite resource challenges.

The provincial government has expanded primary healthcare programs, introduced telemedicine services in remote districts, and upgraded key hospitals in Quetta and divisional headquarters.

Immunization drives for polio and other preventable diseases have intensified, while training programs for doctors and paramedics have been strengthened.
